Spas are one of the most common items we haul away, which means our teams have years of experience. Whether they’re years old and barely work, or they’re new and simply taking up too much space, when you need a spa remover it’s important you hire a company that you can count on to get the job done.
Hot tub’s aren’t an easy item to remove and haul away. They’re not only heavy, but they’re incredibly large, and can be dangerous if not handled properly. If a spa isn’t properly disconnected, it can lead to injury or death. Don’t try and move or disconnect a spa yourself if you’ve never done so before. Let a professional spa remover do their job!
That’s where we’re here to help. Every week we have a different tub disposal job, and there’s nothing we haven’t seen before. Whether you have a spa that’s built into a deck, or you have one that’s large enough to host an entire baseball team, we seen it all. The following are a list of reasons why American River Hauling and Junk Removal Co. should be your first choice in any local spa or hot tub removal:
We Answer the Phones and Delivers on Promises.
Don’t waste your time with the competition that will leave you hanging.
Having to remove anything as large as a spa or hot tubs from your home can be expensive. Trust us, we know. We also know that times are tough, and that so many of our clients are struggling financially with everything going on.
If an item isn’t reasonably salvageable, our standard approach to a spa removal is by cutting it up. Experience has taught us to take a Sawzall and cut tubs into 4 or more pieces depending on the size of the unit. From there, we disconnect the motor and the other electronics, removing them and placing them aside. After all the top pieces are removed, we cut up the base and put it all in the truck. A simple sweep around the area leaves a nice open space where there was once a bulky piece of unused equipment!
Another way we get rid of spas, if they’re in good working condition, is by removing them in whole. We get some extra muscle for the job, tip the thing on the side, place it on our sled, then push. It sounds more difficult than it really is, but the sled we’ve created has moved many a spa before, over all sorts of terrain. When we have a spa that we’d like to find another home for, this is our typical approach.
Lastly, you can hire a company that will bring a crane to your house and will lift the item from your backyard. This can be quite expensive, but it is definitely an option.
We know that times are tough. With both inflation and the pandemic, we promise to offer competitive pricing and the promise of peace and mind that comes from a professional company that is properly licensed and insured. We’ve heard too many horror stories of the other guys out there, scraping walls and dinging doors, only to leave you with a heartfelt apology and a thousand dollar fix.
With American River Hauling and Junk Removal Co., we take extra precaution with every job, making sure there’s enough space on either side of whatever it is we’re moving though your house. We focus on safety, not lifting more than we can handle, and we utilize teamwork as much as possible. Making sure we have a safe and obstacle free route from the item to our truck is imperative.

One of the reasons why we like to cut up spas when they need to be removed is because it allows us to easily separate the metals and the electronic components. From the controllers to the motor, there’s quite a few parts that require special handling. Many junk removal companies simply throw the whole thing into the landfill, but we don’t. We take the Landfill-Last approach and make sure we do whatever we reasonably can to get the items that can and should be recycled, to the right place.
Our company was founded with Eco-Friendly principles, and we do what we can to help our community in whatever ways we can. For us, that means going the extra step.
