For almost 10 years I worked for the business my grandfather (Chet Krygier Senior), uncle (Chet Krygier Junior), and dad (John Krygier) started over 40 years ago. The values of a hard work ethic, integrity, and following through with your word were attributed to the decades of success our family achieved.
During local deliveries where Dzia-Dzia (Polish for grandfather) would accompany me for carpool lane privileges, he was always asking how we could better help our clients. He said that through years of his sales experience prior to starting the family business, you’ve got to start with your character.
You can’t be available for clients if you’re always stressed and disorganized.
You can’t make promises if you’re not present and aware with yourself and your business.
You can’t deliver on promises if your character isn’t built on integrity.
At my families business, we have team members who have been with the company for 30+ years. They have customers that have lasted the same amount of time because of the values that are hard to find in business nowadays.
You know you can expect the highest quality of service and help with our company because we’re not interested in one quick transaction, we’re interested in being your go-to source for help in this area. We want you to recommend us to your friends and family. And that only happens when we treat you and your belongings with the utmost respect, conducting business with integrity.
All I can say is that I’m grateful that through this company, I was able to show my Dzia-Dzia everything that he taught me in business before his passing — so that I can provide for my family and add value to our community.
