Professional Junk Removal Service

Professional junk removal companies are excellent spa removers.  It’s also going to be your easiest option.  Local, reputable hauling companies remove anywhere from 1 – 4 spas a week from residents homes.  If your spa is built into a deck, or needs to be turned on its side to be removed, this is probably your best option.

Sell or Give Away

While selling or giving away your old hot tub seems like a great idea, it still just pushes to responsibility of removing it to the purchaser.  What’s even more difficult now is that moving is much harder than removing it.  The components of an old spa are typically fragile and need to be handled with care.  If you have a spa on a typical concrete pad with wide access points, then it isn’t a big deal.  However, you may need to look at hiring a crane to move it if spaces are tight.

DIY Disposal

This is going to be the cheapest option for you, as you’ll only have to pay for the materials needed to remove the spa, and the disposal costs.  Landfill costs are going to vary depending on where you’re living, and the method for removing is going to depend on whether you cut it up or remove it whole.  This is probably the most dangerous option as removing any electrical components needs to be handled properly by an expert.

Landfill Drop-off

If you’re able to get a large enough vehicle to get the spa to your local landfill, they will be able to properly dispose of it.  Do your best to remove electrical and metal components first!

Hire a Contractor

Hiring a contractor to remove a spa is another great option, but they are typically more expensive than a local junk removal company.

Trade-In

If you’re looking to purchase a new spa, sometimes the stores will have a deal where they handle the hauling of your old tub.  This can be an easy option for those looking to simply upgrade their jacuzzi or hot tub.

Scrap Metal Dealers

If something has metal components, there’s always a chance that a local metal scrapper will come out and haul your items away.  This isn’t our favorite answer as there are risks having individuals and not licensed and insured businesses on your property, but it’s still an option.

Conclusion
