As a junk removal company, we come across appliances in good, working condition all the time. Whether a client is looking to upgrade, or simply they’re moving away and don’t want to take it with them, the fact of the matter is that these appliances shouldn’t be in the landfill.
It started with a simple craigslist ad, where we posted and asked if the community was looking for any particular appliance. The response we got was unexpected. From then on, we decided to go the extra mile and help our community with providing used, but working appliances to those in need.
It takes a little bit more time than simply hauling them off to the dump, but it’s worth it to us. It’s not just what makes us stand out, but it’s what makes us proud members of our community.
At American River Junk Removal, we are proud to accept any large appliance that is in ‘good, working condition,’ from refrigerators and dishwashers, to washing machines and dryers. By donating your old appliance through our program, you not only help save the valuable resources used in manufacturing new appliances, but you also support local charities that rely on donations like yours to continue.

From there you’ll be placed on a waiting list, and as new appliances become available, we go down the list. We’ll give you a call and a time for when we can drop off the appliance.
Please note, depending on where you live or where you need the item dropped off, there may be a nominal fee to cover rising fuel prices. That will be discussed prior to arrival so there will be no surprises.

The process to donate your old appliance is simple. However, what’s important to note is that we are a for-profit company. We are not a 501c3 non-profit. When we say ‘donate,’ what we mean is that we will be donating YOUR appliance to a family in need. On your end, you will still be responsible for the costs related to a typical junk removal job.
We’d like to do everything for free, but unfortunately that’s not the world we live in just yet!

We’ll connect and figure out a time and place we can come pick it up! Typically, we offer same day services, however, they are not always available.

The appliance donation program is a great way to get rid of your old appliance while also helping those in need.
American River Hauling and Junk Removal llc assumes zero risk. While most appliances can be tested briefly for basic functionality, we can not assume that they do not pose any risk for failure.
By accepting your appliance, American River Hauling and Junk Removal llc transfers all liability of fire, water, structural, and / or electrical damage caused by the donated appliance/s to you. We are not responsible for any physical or bodily harm caused by one of these appliances. Use at your own risk.
All we can do is share what the owners have told us, which is if an appliance is in ‘good, working condition’ or not. By accepting an appliance from us, sole liability or any loss or damage is transferred to you.
From there we do a brief inspection, and if everything looks good, we go down the list of applicants.
